Music Ministry

First United Methodist Church of Surgoinsville’s Music ministry aims to create an atmosphere that glorifies God, edifies the body of Christ, unifies the community, and encourages an authentic connection with God. We reach for the goal through our choir during Sunday morning worship. The choir leads the congregation in the singing of hymns and by sharing anthems that shows the joy and love we have for our God.

The choir presents cantatas and special musical arrangements during the Advent and Lenten seasons. Quartets, trios, duets, and solo music is presented through out the year.

Our children show their love of Christ through musical presentations as well. Our music ministry goal is to accompany, facilitate, and enhance the singing of God’s people. In this sense everyone in the church is part of the choir.
